I get asked about partner codes constantly. Same question every time: do you get discounted fees or free trading?
Short answer: no. AvaTrade has no commission on forex trades. You pay the spread. The spread is the fee. A partner code doesn't touch it.
The code 128979 activates the bonus program. Bonus money added to your account based on deposit size. Simple as that.
How much bonus do you receive?
Put in $1,000, receive $200 bonus.
$2,000 adds $400.
$5,000-$9,999 earns you $1,000 bonus.
Deposit $100,000+ and you can get up to $14,000. Most people won't hit that.
UK traders funding in pounds start at £160 on £800. Goes to £11,200 at the top.
You can open an account with $100. Minimum for any bonus is $1,000.
The code field isn't obvious
During registration. Below the phone field, you'll see small text reading "Have a Partner Code?". Click it. A text box appears. Type **128979**.
People overlook it constantly because it's hidden.
If the system rejects it, don't panic. Complete your registration. Message your account manager before you deposit. Tell them you want 128979 applied. They handle this regularly.
Bonus withdrawal conditions
You need to trade a certain volume.
Around 10,000 units per dollar of bonus. A $200 bonus means trading 2,000,000 units before that $200 unlocks. Can take time with smaller position sizes. Happens faster than you'd think if you're active.
Your own money stays yours. Access it whenever you need. The bonus stays locked until you hit the volume.
Worth mentioning: while the bonus is locked, it still counts toward your margin. You can hold larger positions than your deposit alone would allow. Newer traders benefit from that extra cushion.
